TENTS FOR HAITI’S DISASTER

We are pleased to announce that with a team of eight dedicated, hard working people we were able to provide some help to the hopeless and helpless of Haiti’s disaster, on behalf of Karibamerica’s Well-Being Foundation, Inc. We are also extending our caring hand to the orphan children affected by this disaster.

Mr. Bryant from NMB Rescue is going to pick up the tents. The tents will be shipped out to Haiti in about 6 hours. They are suppose to call us to let us know when and where. hbryant@miamibeachfl.gov

I have arranged for the following: two man pup tents 100 6×8 new with all attachments.

15 new 17 x17 x10.3 for medical uses

And 35 two man pup tents 100 6×8 used with all attachments

This will allow up to 270 personnel for sleeping storage etc.

if you have any questions please call 828-230-1697 to discuss substitute items if the above is not acceptable. Upon approval of Jackson Hospital Coordinator of the items listed the reserved items will be paid for.

I suggest they should be delivered from 1400 Smokey Parkway Highway, Candler, NC to the National Guard Arsenal in Ashville NC for pick up by plane. We spent $9100 on the tents and I am now scouting for generators for Karibamerica’s trip to Haiti. Along with these donors we have:

Tanya Ivy and affiliated organizations has made a generous contribution consisting of over 34 Flash lights, batteries, over 60 Teddy bears, clothes for the children.

Marie Joseph has made a generous contribution consisting of Diapers, adult and children’s clothes , Teddy bears, and under pads.

Daniel E. Roero. MD has made a generous contribution consisting of a pair of crutches, leg and arm braces.

Catalina Prestamo has made a generous contribution consisting of towels, gauze, and clothes.

Elena Defigueroa  and affiliates has made generous contribution consisting of baby food, can food, clothes, a microwave, shoes, and adult clothes.

Black child development Institute of Greensboro has made a generous contribution consisting of flash light, teddy bears, and batteries.

Falenda Kenol willing to provide the permanent location for the children paid for one year.

Catherine Pollas my mother who has donated her time to cook, watch and take my children to school for me while I go volunteer at “His House Children’s Home” www.hhch.org at night to be with the children coming from Haiti.

We want to acknowledge some women who has work day and night with the children coming from Haiti, from cooking to anything else needed to comfort these children.

Pastor Simon Mireille for spreading the word, Naromie Sylvestre, Darline Pamphile,  Marie-Maurice RN, Erna from Brown Mackie College, Kathia, Ange Phanord, Ruth, Toussaint Malousse,  Magalie Lozano, Dany Etienne, Alex Lacroix, and all of  those who are in the process of being cleared to serve. “For I was sick, hungry, hurt and you took care of me”.
