About Elise Salmon

Native New Yorker of Cuban/Jamaican parents. Left Atlanta for Miami in 2002. Have been employed or otherwise involved with social services for twenty(yes 20!) years. Presently working for the University of Delaware in a behavioral research study focusing on black women with addiction and risky sexual behavior as a means of obtaining income. My job is very rewarding for the most part. I am passionate about public health as a vehicle of education and prevention without having to resort to emegency room treatment. Hopefully we shall soon enable all to have free health care regardless of socioeconomic or employment status.
