Came back from Haiti now what?

Hello everyone, how good it is to be back from Haiti! I went back after nearly 20 years away from my native land. Haiti is really a painful place to be, but I can see hope in the eyes of everyone I met. I visited the hospitals in Port- Au Prince

and how they were operating outside of the building, I came back heart broken to see malnourished infants, children missing limbs but still trying to be playful, women in despair, searching for a way to get fed for the day, men who really want to be the provider but there is no work. AYAYAHI!!!!! I have never seen, and felt such pain in my life. Here is a good advice before taking a trip to Haiti: If you suffer from High blood pressure, Diabetes, Heart problems, Anxiety, Panic Attack, Asthma, Depression,  Mental disorder, Personality issue, Bipolar, Seizures etc… MORE

The New Year and your health

Welcome to my blog and once again Happy New Year to all! As we all know every year we make a list of things we want to change in our lives. We have new determinations, new goals, and you really want to see some dreams come true etc… for some of us this has been going on for years now, I’m sure you are tired of being at the same place for that long. You finally want to see results. It all start with a particular exercise, if you want something bad enough I today challenge you to repeat it daily, and even hourly, plan in your mind how you want to see it’s accomplishment and speak it so it eventually become a reality, this is what faith will do. To believe in or for something that you can’t even see yet. Speak to your  cells every day, every hour, every moment you have  because the power of life and death is in your tongue. 7 is a powerful number why not start today.

Happy New Year to all. I am honored to be a part of Karibamerica as case manager consultant. I’ve been in the sensitive position as social worker for Hospice in the past and can concur with our President that the multicultural caregiver and patient have special needs. Luckily our new leader is passionate about national health care! We are a new agency with fresh and innovative spirits and I foresee success and rewarding experiences ahead!

Message From Karibamerica’s President

The year 2009 has been very rocky. We had many challenges to overcome; as a community we got hit really hard —especially the ethnic minorities. We have experienced a cut in healthcare that left us empty with a lot of questions without answers. One of our basic necessity—which is our medical needs—has been affected… This hardship has been immeasurable.

The new year 2010 represents a year of new beginning, brand new start, and a breath of fresh air. I want to celebrate your courage, your strength to endure the bad time and keep up hope as good results are coming soon. We want to continue to serve our people of multicultural and diverse background —natives or immigrants— affected by cancer and their families. With your help we can provide social services, after-school programs for their children, and promoting healthy living habits through awareness.

The board of directors and staff has put tremendous effort to focus on the mission and vision of Karibamerica to help all in need of our services. Your continued support is important to us and to those that are hurting helping us to push forward and strengthen our programs. We count on you this year and as always it’s an honor for me to serve you.

Best wishes,
Happy holidays from all of us at Karibamerica.
